Ellen Hutson PIN-Sights Challenge

Good morning,
Today I am playing along with the Ellen Hutson Pin-Sights Challenge. The Pin-Sights Challenge is an inspirational based challenge held on the 3rd Thursday of each month in the Ellen Hutson CLASSroom. The challenge is based on a Pinterest inspired piece hand chosen by Laurel Beard specifically for this challenge to spark your imagination and creativity! Here is the inspiration photo.

The colors are so pretty. My first idea was to make a bouquet of flowers.  That did not happen lol. This is what I eventually came up with...

I had not even thought to make a shaker card, but these things happen lol..

Supplies
Dies: Wild Garden (EH), stitched rectangles and stitched ovals (SSS) and Painted Hello(SSS)
Ink: Something Borrowed, Sweet Sixteen, It's a Boy, It's a Girl (CPD)
Paper: Black and White cardstock (Michaels)
Accessories: Acetate, Rose Gold sequin mix (The Ton)

If you would like to participate in this challenge here is the link.

See you soon  Susan

Encouragement Challenge

Welcome to the first Calling All Sistah's Encouragement Challenge. Learn more about this challenge and how you can participate on the Calling All Sistah's Blog.
We can all use a bit of encouragement when things get rough, whether it be a major illness, or a difficult day/week/month we all need some encouragement to go on.
Why not send them a piece of Happy Mail, a card of encouragement to let them know you are here for them.

This month we have our first inspiration photo.

I just love the colors in this photo!!  Here is my card for this challenge.

For this card I used the Floating stamp set. I created the sky with a piece of paper I cut a curve in and used the edge to sponge the sky with tumbled glass distress ink.

There will be a $25 gift certificate given to the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps store to one lucky challenge participant. If your card has CFS products used on it, Michele Saugstad Gross will double that prize!

Remember you can save 15% on stamps and dies when you used the code below

Thanks for coming by and please join us over on the Calling All Sistahs Blog and play along with us.

Creative Stencil Techniques - Final Class

Happy Monday!! Yesterday was the last lesson in the Creative stencil Techniques class.  Today we learned to stencil over watercolor.

I watercolored the background with Broken China, Abandoned Coral and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide inks. The once dry, I sponged Abandoned Coral Distress Oxide ink over the Layered Medallion A, next I sponged Broken China over the Layered Medallion B stencil.  I added Loose Peonies, from The Ton, that I watercolored and attached then to a die cut circle from cut from gold foiled cardstock, and Stamped the celebrate sentiment from the Celebrations stamp set from Altenew.

Thanks for coming to see this card....Susan
